CoreFirst Bank & Trust is excited to announce that we will be making a change from our current computer system to the PhoenixEFE Core from Harland Financial Solutions. This move will allow us to offer more convenience and boost our efficiencies and productivity.
Important Statement Information
As a result of CoreFirst Bank & Trust moving to a new computer system, it will be necessary to process your July account statement at the normal cycle date and then again on July 29, 2011*. Account service charges will not be assessed on the July 29th statement. If your account is interest bearing, interest will be calculated and paid between your two July statements on the 29th. Your August 2011 statement will be provided at the usual time with some slight changes to the look and feel of the format.
Other changes you may notice because of the conversion:
- Enhanced customer service and the innovative banking products you've asked for
- A streamlined loan, deposit, accounting and transaction process
- Changes to the CoreFirst Bank & Trust ATM screens
- Modifications to the arrangement of information on your monthly account statement, notices and transaction receipts
- During conversion weekend there may be temporary service outages to the CoreFirst ATM network and Internet Banking
*If your statement is typically cut at the end of the month, you will only receive one account statement for July and the normal service charges will apply.
Q&A
Q. Why is CoreFirst changing its computer system?
A. Always innovative and on the cutting edge of technology, we are continuously monitoring our delivery systems. Several factors contributed to this change including the effectiveness of our current system and the desire to provide our customers with enhanced customer service and superior banking functionality. This upgrade allows us to provide you with positive changes now and in the future.
Q. Will CoreFirst remain safe and secure during the conversion process?
A. Absolutely! Rigorous safeguards are in place for a smooth data conversion to the new computer system. The safety of your accounts and CoreFirst will not be affected at by this change.
Q. Why am I receiving two statements this month?
A. As we convert to our new computer system, it was necessary to cut your monthly statement at its normal cycle period and then again at the end of the month. This change will not affect customers that normally receive month-end statements only.
Q. Why do my account statements/bank notices look different?
A. As a result of the conversion, all bank statements have a new look and feel. All the information you need to balance your account is still available, just in a different spot or ordered differently. The biggest change is that transactions will now be in order by date versus separated by debits and credits.
Q. Will my account numbers change?
A. In most cases, no. Your account numbers and all the parameters of your account will remain unchanged. Some commercial loans will have the number 20 added before the current loan number.
Q. Will my Visa Check Card/Credit Card continue to function the same?
A. Yes. Your CoreFirst cards will continue to work as they do today without any change or interruption in service.
Q. Will my Internet Banking settings change?
A. No. As we move to the new computer system, our internet banking product will remain unchanged. Your login ID and password will not be altered in any way. You will still have the ability to view all the accounts that are currently available including any payees you may have set up in Internet Billpayer.
Q. Will my automatic banking transactions be affected by this change?
A. No. Because your account number is not changing, all automatic drafts you have set up with vendors will continue to work as they do today.
Q. Will there be any changes to my loan accounts with CoreFirst?
A. All components of your loan with CoreFirst will remain the same, including account numbers and any automatic payments that have been created for your monthly payment. The only change is to certain commercial loans that will have a slight alteration to the loan account number.
Q. Since I will be receiving two statements this month, can I potentially receive two service charges if I do not meet my account requirements?
A. No. Services charges will not be charged on the statement cut at the end of the month unless that is your normal statement cycle date.
