Investment Management:

Using sophisticated technology and access to world class research, we can provide clients with a well-constructed investment portfolio that helps create and preserve wealth. Our philosophy and process adhere to a rigorous investment discipline that is coordinated with legal, tax and insurance advisors. We tailor customized investment portfolios to meet specific needs and objectives of our clients.

The first step in designing an investment portfolio is understanding your goals and objectives. We work with you to identify your comfort level with risk and ability to take risk. This risk/return framework guides us in selecting the investment objective that most suits your needs.

Once your needs, goals, and ability & willingness to take risk are assessed we determine the best investment portfolio for you. We invest in the typical asset classes such as stocks, bonds, and money market, but may also invest in option strategies, commodities, real estate, foreign debt, alternatives, etc. if they make sense in your portfolio.

When building the investment portfolio, we look at numerous scenarios, both good and bad, that can happen. We then structure the portfolio in a way that protects against the risks that could generate large losses but also invests in the areas we think will have the best returns over the next 3 to 10 years. Using your objectives and asset allocation as a guideline we will also focus on your needs. If you need income the portfolio will be more income oriented. If you want lower taxes and higher potential returns, we will invest accordingly. Portfolios may be invested in ETFs, mutual funds, individual stocks or bonds, or a combination of different investment vehicles.

We are risk/return focused investors looking at the risks and expected returns of everything we invest in. We want to get paid well for the risks we take. As long-term, fundamental investors we are not day trading but trying to determine which assets will perform the best over the long-term. We try to keep costs low and are open architecture which means we will purchase any available investment that makes sense for our clients. We are not beholden to using any specific company’s products but are able to use almost any investment firm.

Your investment portfolio is monitored by a team of well-trained, highly qualified, experienced, and skilled professionals that include a Portfolio Manager and Trust Officer. Furthermore, the investment team, the Trust Investment Committee, and Board of Directors provide oversight on your investments.

Our Trust Officers are available to meet with you regularly or as needed – at one of our convenient locations or at your home or office. We provide timely account statements, internet access and tailored portfolio reports.

It’s rare that we would put on a short-term (Tactical) trade. Instead, we are more strategic in our investments, trying to determine what assets will work best for you over the next 3-to-10 years. To do this we are taking into consideration the various drivers of returns and risks such as valuation metrics, 3 to 10 year expected returns, interest rates, inflation rates, credit spreads, default rates, debt levels/metrics, and much more.

We've got your back and your legacy!
