Here at CoreFirst, we have always been focused on serving the communities in which we live and work. We’re proud to invest time, talents and resources into initiatives that support arts, education, diversity, community development and just making life better for our neighbors.

CoreFirst Bank & Trust founder Emery Fager was a big believer in giving back. His simple formula for success still guides us today:

How we help:

  • CoreFirst Bank & Trust has established a community affairs department that thoughtfully considers donation requests. We support a vast spectrum of community projects and initiatives with sponsorship or time.
  • An astounding 90% of our officers are involved in some way with the community, including serving as volunteer board members and committing time to charitable organizations.
  • Our giving has no boundaries. We are strong supporters of the arts, culture, education and initiatives for those in need.

From the very beginning, CoreFirst was a people-oriented bank, supplying over 12,000 redbud trees to Topeka after the devastating 1966 tornado.

In 2018 we asked the community to choose their favorite non-profit group, getting thousands of votes! Ultimately, we awarded $10,000 to the Friends of the Topeka Zoo.

As part of our ongoing commitment to being community forward, we give every employee 6 paid volunteer hours each year.
